Buffalo's own hit record producer ToNyCoRe [of Broken ChainZ Ent] has partnered up with DT [ya Coldspring Cousin] of 93.7 WBLK's Unsigned Hype to see if you have what it takes to make a hot song [hook/bridge/vamp/etc]. This is a competition where the "self-proclaimed" best unsigned artists [rap/hip-hop/r&b/etc] have the opportunity to put their skills to the test on an original ToNyCoRe beat.In fairness everyone is using the same track in this competition. If you're the best & the track may not be your style, do you think you can adjust??? That's the catch. Hahahaha.
There will be a NEUTRAL panel of WBLK radio personalities weekly, along with the vote of listeners that will be critiquing your sound based on the following: song structure, hook strength, content, delivery, overall execution & radio-friendliness.
Two songs [dependent on the # of submissions] will be featured weekly, starting the week of Friday February 19th, 2010 on 93.7 WBLK's Unsigned Hype Show [check website for showtimes - www.UnsignedHype.com] on a head-to-head basis. 1st round elimination rules apply.
Prizes include: a three song demo produced by ToNyCoRe [courtesy of BrokenChainZ Ent.], and recognition at this year's Unsigned Hype Awards Show.
Remember, be creative, keep it radio-friendly, and show everyone in the town why you are the best!!!
